#KeExports

Let’s talk about Green Gold…  not just two magnificent colours but rather how they come together to reflect the story of Kenya’s agriculture. Our quality produce feeds the nation, but also we feed the world! While we are well known for our tea, coffee and even flower produce, we have myriad agricultural exports that fuel our economy, feed our families and help provide livelihoods.
These are the stories of produce that has earned us global repute, from the famous cash crops to lesser-known long-time earners such as French beans. This new story journey will take us across the country and highlight the many areas and crops that contribute to our booming export market.

#KeWachezaji

The Kenyan Flag.

We saw it raised for the first time on a beautiful night in 1963 and since then its been our rallying call.

Black, Red, Green, White.

Our #KeColours fill us with pride.

Welcome to #KeWachezaji, a celebration of our sports competitors – individuals and teams, women and men. Those who have raised the flag and through their dedication to sports have put Kenya on the global stage.

They are Our Flag Bearers.

#KeReads

There is nothing we love more than a well told story. At Paukwa we are enamored by the power stories have to shape our aspirations, take us to new worlds, open up unexpected realities or simply enable us to disappear from our daily lives.

Stories build us, give us hope and spark our imagination. The 23rd of April is #WorldBookDay and in honour of all the writers that help us dream, we are charting a new journey discovering and sharing Kenyan writers through the eyes of ordinary Kenyan readers.

Before we take off, please reminisce on your favorite Kenyan book? Fiction or non- fiction, poetry or comics, any and all!

Which was that book you would read under you desk in secondary school or under the covers at night? Remember that one? Share the joy of your favorite Kenyan read!

#StreetsOfNairobi

Paukwa? Pakawa…!

We are taking a trip down memory lane in the place of cool waters. Originally known as Nyrobi, the capital has grown over a century to a thriving metropolis. Question is how well do you know the past and present of this city?

#KeSafari

One thing we know is that as Kenyans our knowledge of our country is sometimes wanting. With 580,367 square kilometres to cover it’s a big country! Few people have had the opportunity to travel across the forty seven counties that make up Kenya and so sometimes our knowledge of places and people could still be defined by a few things we learnt at school or by major landmarks, but we know that there is so much more.

So, in collaboration with a group of fantastic photographers dedicated to exploring the place they are proud to call home, we are taking you on a journey across the 254. Welcome to our #KeSafari

#KeFemaleFirsts

A story collection in celebration of Kenya’s pioneer women. They are our mums, sisters, aunties, daughters, friends and colleagues. They are everyday heroes who broke glass ceilings, raised the bar, changed misconceptions of womanhood and who buy their own actions and accomplishments have shown Kenyans how women slay!

More importantly, they are women whose breakthroughs have opened the door for so many others.

Here are women who were the first in their fields; our #KeFemaleFirsts.
